Andrew Russell, MD, Tarjan Center at UCLA (UCEDD)
Dr. Andrew Russell is the co-director of the Tarjan Center for Developmental Disabilities and Professor Emeritus of Clinical Psychiatry at the University of California, Los Angeles. His research interests focus on childhood schizophrenia, developmental disabilities, and psychiatric disorders in persons with developmental disabilities.
Scott Barron, Consumer, Peer Self-Advocacy Unit, Disability Rights California
Scott Barron began working with Disability Rights California in 2009, after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from California State University, Fullerton. As a Peer Advocate, Mr. Barron has worked with various other organizations to improve polling place access, create consumer friendly resource guides, and tools to get hard conversations started. He advocates, educates and articulates for people’s rights and services so that they can live in a barrier-free world. In his personal time he co-founded and head coaches a Special Olympics softball program named the Dirty Dawgs.
Elizabeth H. Morgan, CEDD, UC Davis Mind Institute (UCEDD)
Elizabeth Morgan is a program coordinator for the UC Davis Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities at the MIND Institute. Her area of focus includes Early Childhood and Early Intervention Services with a specific interest in underrepresented populations. An educator by training, she holds a Masters in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and has supported Early Childhood practitioners in utilizing developmentally appropriate practice and inclusion strategies since 2004. She has worked on several state level initiatives to support inclusion of preschool children with various disabilities. She is also a parent of a child with developmental disabilities and is an active board member for Warmline Family Resource Center in Sacramento, CA.
