Patricia Herrera, MS, 211 Los Angeles County, Developmental Disabilities Screening Project
Patricia Herrera is the Director of the Developmental Screening and Care Coordination Project at 211 LA County (211 LA). Since 2009, Ms. Herrera has provided the leadership, development and the needed fundraising for the implementation of the screening and care coordination project that has generated compelling results and outcome data for over 9,000 low-income ethnic minority children. Prior to working at 211 LA, she was the Director of Family Support Services at Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center (FDLRC). She worked on Parent Professional Partnership Training and innovative programs related to systems improvement for the care of individuals with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities. Her special interests include disparity in diagnosis and treatment of disabilities in underserved populations, service utilization and system approaches to improvement of service delivery and overall health care.
