Training Programs
Consistent with the core mission of the USC UCEDD, we provide quality interdisciplinary training that prepares professionals to be leaders in the field of developmental disabilities, behavioral health, and care for children with special healthcare needs. The second largest training program within Children's Hospital Los Angeles, we train over 48 trainees from 12 disciplines each year. Comprehensive and in-depth training is provided to advanced students in developmental-behavioral pediatrics, dietetics, occupational therapy, psychology, social work, and speech-language pathology. Our California Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (CA-LEND) interdisciplinary training program prepares students and professionals from 12 allied health disciplines to develop leadership skills in policy, advocacy, research, systems change, community education, technical assistance, and interdisciplinary clinical care.
Our competitive training programs recruit trainees from around the country who have made a commitment to working in underserved communities. Graduates have gone on to leadership positions in other UCEDDs, universities, community mental health centers, and hospitals.
Training programs include:
Developmental-Behavioral Fellowship
Psychology Predoctoral Internship
Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship
