Dual Diagnosis
Individuals who have developmental disabilities along with co-occurring mental health disorders have a “dual diagnosis,” which can complicate assessment and intervention. The USC UCEDD has a number of initiatives aiming to increase the professional workforce trained to work with individuals with dual diagnoses and to influence policy and practice in this important and underserved area.
