Project HEAL is the child trauma treatment and training program at CHLA. Project HEAL provides individual, family and group therapy and psycho diagnostic assessments to traumatized children and their non-offending caregivers. Project HEAL provides treatment at the highest standard of care to traumatized children and families using evidenced based treatments, including trauma/abused focused cognitive behavioral therapy, parallel group therapy for traumatized children and their caregivers, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. Through vendorization with the Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center, Project HEAL also provides abuse risk reduction and social skills groups for children with developmental disabilities, including a supportive and didactic therapy group for caregivers parenting a child with a developmental disability.
