Stipend, Vacation, and FacilitiesYearly stipends are offered in the amount of $21,000 to the intern classes of 2008-2009. A benefit package including health and dental insurance is also provided to interns and their dependents. This benefit package is offered at no cost to interns. Full-time interns receive 10 days of vacation and enjoy six holidays from internship duties. The USC UCEDD offices were redesigned in 1999 to accommodate both clinical service and interdisciplinary training. Twenty-four clinical offices are available for client care, nine of which are equipped with one way mirrors. An elaborate video-conferencing facility is integrated into the office space, and several rooms are equipped with audio/visual observation equipment. Libraries for reference and research are also available. Assessment and observation rooms are available for individual and group clinics. Interns are provided dedicated office and training space with telephones and computers. The USC UCEDD provides all assessment materials and equipment, including audiovisual equipment and computer-scoring materials. A new office location was opened in October 2005. This is a state of the art clinical and training space that affords each intern his or her own computer, phone and workspace. |
